Hampton Court in Colour

So what's special? Not a lot, except that this picture is from one of the first 'colour supplements'. Earlier, by a quarter-century, than those colour pix of Adolf we're all blasé about by now.

Specifically, The Graphic of 23 May 1914. Since everybody knows our great grandparents lived in monochrome, more often than not in sepia, it's a bit disconcerting to see this sort of thing.

The building in the background is Wolsey's Palace. In the foreground is the Reserve Garden.
